Justice for Ella

So let’s go back to the beginning….

As most of you will remember beautiful Ella was tragically taken from us on the 26th November 2020. We were, and still are, so utterly heart broken from our tragic loss.

Ella had no underline health issues and was a fit and healthy young girl enjoying life, like any teenager.

The three months leading up to Ella’s passing Liz took Ella on many occasions to the doctors and A&E, concerned for her health. Over this period of time, she was even blue lighted to hospital because her oxygen levels were low. Frustratingly the doctors didn’t follow through on tests and finally came to the conclusions that she had an allergy. Sending her home with allergy medication.

Sadly on the 24th November Ella collapsed and stopped breathing. After 45 min of CPR she was rushed to hospital and placed in an induced coma. Sadly she had suffered severe brain damage and on 26th November we had to say goodbye.

The coroner ruled Necrotising laryngo-tracheo-bronchitis.

This is a form of croup, but because it was left untreated then turned into Necrotising laryngo-tracheo-bronchitis

This is a flesh eating disease that was swelling her trachea which formed Ella to have a cardiac arrest as her airways were blocked.

The past three years has been a difficult journey for all Ella’s family and friends. Navigating ourselves through the path of grief and loss to find ourselves now in the place of fighting for justice.

During the last three years a legal case has been opened as the coroner’s results concluded that an inquest should be heard on behalf of Ella and her family.

Sadly we find ourselves in the position that legal advice and support will not be available to help win justice for Ella.

Ella’s family deserves the right to let their voices be heard, but unfortunately without funding the family will have to represent themselves without the support of a legal team.
