Hey everybody!

The week before Christmas, I visited the emergency room because I was having excruciating pain from my right ear to the tips my fingers on my right hand. It was the most pain I have ever been in and was taking me to my knees. I couldn't move or go to work for an entire week, and still do not have feeling in three of my fingers.

In the weeks since, we have learned that I have two bulging discs and severe arthritis of the spine. I've had to have an MRI/imaging, a steroid epidural injection, multiple office visits, numerous medications and have a medically necessary breast reduction surgery scheduled for the 26th of this month.

Needless to say, my medical bills are piling up and I am already drowning. It's taking a toll on my mental health and putting me further into debt. I don’t have a family or savings to fall back on at this point.

The money I'm asking for will cover rent while I am out of work for the three weeks following the surgery and will help with the $3000 deductible ($6000 if I include the deductible that I owe for the emergency visits when this all started in December).

Update (3/1):

Surgery went well! I’m very tired and beat up but happy that my neck is already feeling relieved. I’m in good spirits and in and out of sleep. 

That being said, the out of pocket cost for the surgery was approximately $7,500. A number that they surprised me with the morning of the surgery.
