Hello Everyone,

We are writing this knowing our dad will be extremely upset with us for even thinking or actually doing this, as he is not an asking for help type of person.

First, we would like express our deepest thank you and appreciation for the Echo Hose Staff and Shelton Police Department for their support and taking care of our father.

With sparing the very sensitive and horrific details, our father Dave was admitted to Bridgeport ICU on Tuesday 12/09/25. Within minutes of being brought in he was intubated and diagnosed with sepsis, respiratory and cardiac failure. It was and is still very shocking for us to see our father in this state.As of today 12/12/25 our dad is still intubated and getting amazing care by the entire ICU Staff at BPT Hospital.

With saying that, we are unsure how long this journey will last or what is in the future as we’re on an hour by hour plan. Once he eventually is “back to normal” he will need so much care and we are unsure what this will all entail.

We are going to try our best to do everything we can for him and make sure he is in good hands. We are not expecting any help, it is the holiday season and we all are just getting by. If anyone can provide any amount towards his future care it would truly help.
