It's your good buddy Peter here. You may or may not know this, but over the past 12-18 months, I've been developing cataracts that have left me effectively blind in my right eye. It has made working difficult and reading virtually impossible. Leading cycling club rides is also becoming harder. By nature, if untreated, my cataracts will continue to get worse.

 

I am finally getting surgery on my right eye this month, followed by my left eye in early Spring. I'll be ecstatic to be able to read a book again.

 

Unfortunately, the surgery is going total about $3,500 out-of-pocket. As you have probably seen, I've been participating in charity fundraisers (AIDS Ride, etc.) for years, but I never thought I'd have to ask for help myself. However, with work grinding to a halt over the course of the pandemic, I find myself in dire financial straits. I can't work this expense into my budget.

 

I hate to ask this of my friends, but if any of you can donate anything towards covering my surgery, I'd be eternally grateful.
