Jay Miller is a loving father, husband and friend. He is an air force veteran and an avid sports fan with a great sense of humor. He spent a large part of his life working at the Boys and Girls Club mentoring and impacting kids’ lives. More recently, he worked inspiring and building the Brockton community through his role at Brockton Community TV.
Jay Miller has spent his entire life helping others and now it is time for us to help him, his wife, and his four-year-old son.
Three and a half years ago, Jay was diagnosed with melanoma, a form of skin cancer. Jay and his wife, Melissa had very recently welcomed a new and adorable baby boy into their lives…Jay’s namesake, John Paul.
After a long journey of hospital visits, traditional, and experimental treatments, Jay received the unfortunate news that he is one of the 5% of people diagnosed with Leptomeningeal Carcinomatosis. LC is a rare complication of cancer that spreads to the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord.
Sadly, Jay and his beautiful family were recently given disheartening news. Visiting with Jay on the day he received this news, he said, “I am going to take it one day at a time.”

Jay and his four-year-old son enjoy sharing breakfast together and talking about their day ahead. Kicking balls, blowing bubbles, reading books, snuggling with Mickey Mouse, and gathering together at dinnertime bring joy to Jay, Melissa and John Paul. Sadly, these special times will be changing.

Please consider helping the Miller family. Your contribution will go towards…. overwhelming medical costs not covered by insurance, living expenses since Jay is not able to work, and most importantly, his four-year-old son, John Paul.
Thank you for your support. Every dollar helps.
