Justice For Darius
Donation protected
Darius was bright student and a very talented artist . He came from a close knit family ,who were very involved and anticipated the promising future for the inquisitive and comedic youth. Everyone that came across Darius loved his charm.
He was an innocent bystander, mistakenly identified as a target in the ongoing violence in the city of Philadelphia . At the time of the incident he and his cousin, Charles were visiting a lifelong friend of the family's home . Sitting on the back patio , just having some guy time shots erupted and Darius was stuck several times . He did not survive his injuries .
Earlier that day Darius and Charles decided to go to the mall . Darius had just recently revealed to his grandmother he wanted to study anthropology and African studies , to see how humanity interconnects. Darius's mother Jacqueline had thrown a huge birthday bash for 15th birthday and looking forward to celebrating his 16th . His little brother Dayyan looked up to Darius and followed in artistic footsteps . He was constantly redirecting and being a positive influence to his younger cousin , Cory-Joseph , and even a good scolding when warranted . He consistently spent time at his aunt Allyson's home, she doted on him as Darius was her first nephew . His uncle Carlton set up his " teenage" bedroom , as he was coming into age. He loved spending time with his cousins Cyerra and Ayanna , mostly making TikTok videos and goofing off . Darius had no problem sharing and helping his friends when they hit rough times , including inviting friends to dinner and even at times welcoming them to briefly stay reside at his family's home .
No one around Darius expected this . Darius just wanted to be a normal teenager and be around his family and friends . Three unknown men took this from his family .
We are asking for funding to assist in final arrangements in this time of tragedy.
