In January, Tim had two surgeries to stop invansive squamous cell skin cancer. After external chemotherapy his arms are covered with precancerous and cancerous lesions that do not respond to the cryosurgery and external chemotherapy available in the US. He is returning to his regular dermatologist in Thailand from Feb. 8 until March to receive extensive laser surgery which is not available or covered by US insurance companies. While there, Tim will also receive corrective surgery for eye ptosis at the cost of a US out of pocket deductible. Upon completion of the treatment for cancer he will return to Taiwan for tests to determine the spread of the cancer and for any additional radiation, chemotherapy or further surgeries. The estimated cost of his travel, surgeries and treatment for the month of February is 7000 USD.
