Pupz N Palz Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit rescue here in Modesto, Ca. We take in a lot of young pups, special needs and medical cases.
We have reached a point in vet bills reaching such a high amount that we are unable to pay them off or help more animals in need until these are paid down. With cost of running a facility, low cost adoption fees, and many many medical cases we take in we are currently drowning.
We are roughly at $6000-$7000 in vet bills between the 3 vet clinics we use and this dow not cover our every day expenses and monthly bills such as rent, utlitlies, post box, storage, dog/cat food, office (stamps, paper, ink, etc), gas, shleter fees, meds, cleaning supplies...etc etc. The list goes on and on.
We are asking for the community's help to raise these fees so that we may continue our efforts to save more lives from local high kill shelters.
We would be extremely grateful for any and all donations. No donation too small.
Please help spread the word.
Just in the last couple of months we've had:
Mia our 2 lb Poodle pulled from Stanislaus shelter with severe mouth abcesses that needed imediate surgery. Mia stayed at our vet for 4 days to help get her strong enough for this big surgery on such a tiny dog. She also had teeth extractions and spayed while she was there.

We also have Honey our Shep/Lab mama also pulled out of a high kill shelter (Stanislaus) who we've now learned was shot at one point so currently has a bullet lodged in her back hip. We have had her back and forth to our vet for xrays and she's been on meds for pain/swelling. It has not helped so next we are looking at surgery for her.

We've also had several bottle pups come in to us, many of them need aditional meds, bottle feeding, and/or tube feeding such as this tiny Pit puppy did.

We've also taken in many seniors lately which need all kinds of medical. Our senior Yorkie who is only 3 lbs required every single one of her teeth extracted, along with bloodwork and spay. Our older Chi boy also had to have a dental, bloodwork, and teeth extractions. Each of these cases cost the rescue a few hundred a piece.

To top it off we've had a few sick pups, kennel cough, some with parvo...each costing us a few hundred on them as well. Each Parvo case cost us a minimum of $750 and we've had a few.
We also have our dog Scooter (was named Eric at Stockton shelter and was on channel 10 news) who we're looking into getting a brand new wheelchair for $500 due to his not being the correct size and some therapy for him at our vet. We're looking into water therapy but have not yet done this because of funding.

And lastly our Ray. Our kitten born with no eyes and left for dead in the middle of the road. Poor Ray has had several trips going back and forth to our vet. He was given IV fluids, and tube fed or syringe fed for the first 3 weeks we had him in order to keep him alive. He also was put on 3 different meds by our vet for resp issues, and slept with the humidifyer on him on his heating pad every night. We pulled him through but he has had resp issues off and on for the past month and has been treated for that again.

Please help us spread the word. We cannot help any more until these bills are paid down.
