My Aunt Joy was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of brain cancer 2 weeks ago after being perfectly healthy in the weeks leading up to the diagnosis. She is currently in the hospital with additional problems that have arisen since then. Her kids are desperately trying to get her to Panama City, FL, where she can undergo the required treatment and be with her oldest son and daughter in law, who will be able to provide care for her while she faces this difficult challenge. My cousins are not in a financial position to be able to transport her there, after being unable to work for the past two weeks while being in East Texas to be by her side. My Uncle is a retired pastor, and they live on a very tight, fixed income. My heart goes out to all involved, as they continue to run into daily roadblocks in their attempt to get her back to Florida.
