Donation protected
To our wonderful friends, family & everyone else near & far who have been following & supporting Gabe's latest chapter in his young life...we thank you. Thank you for the texts, calls, visits, cards, prayers & donation offers to let us know that we are not in this alone!
For those of you who are not aware, Gabe suddenly fell ill a few months ago and after a series of grueling medical tests, dead ends & a lengthy hospital stay, we were told that Gabe's kidneys had stopped growing about 6 years ago. In other words, at his current age of 14, Gabe had been functioning off of his 8 year old sized kidneys playing lacrosse, karate & football. With hopeful hearts & our faith in our God, we prayed there was something we could do to keep him fighting until we might be able to find a donor for him. Thankfully, our Lord answered and we have been able to put him on a daily dialysis program until we hopefully find a compatible donor.
We have now completed the classes to be able to treat Gabe in the comfort of his own home which also meant turning his bedroom into a medical facility for the large machines and having weekly pallets of medicine delivered to the house due to the amount of dialysis he needs. Insurance is covering some, but we are now left to come up with the the remaining costs that have began to quickly pile up.
So many people have graciously asked how they can help, so we've created a Go Fund Me page, as well as two other fundraisers taking place in the next few weeks. This family is one who has done any and everything for their family, church, schools, community and most notably of all...their country. If nothing else, we ask that you please continue to keep us in your prayers while Gabe waits to hear if he can receive a transplant. Thank you!
