2Yr Old Emerson’s Hemispherectomy
Donation protected
As most of you know. Emerson Robichaud-King was born June 1, 2016 at 25wks gestation and weighed a whopping 1lb 13oz. To say there have been struggle and complications for this family since would be an understatement. This Friday, February 8th, Emerson will undergo a full day surgery to disconnect the right brain, this is to stop the seizures she’s been having since she was 11 months old. The procedure is among the most drastic kinds of brain surgery. Erin and Dale are mentally and physically preparing to have Erin live at the hospital with Emerson for the duration of what should be a ten day stay post surgery. All the while Dale, Danielle and Gracen will be staying at home and trying not to disrupt Gracen’s 3 year old life too much. While Erin is hospital bound, Dale will be home cooking, cleaning and caring for the 2 girls and trying to maintain normalcy and prepare for the unknowns when it comes to Emerson and Erin’s arrival back home again. On the other hand in the hospital, Emerson’s meals will be provided for by the hospital, however Erin will be on her own to care for herself. How can you help? There are a few ways to help. The easiest one is to donate here. The second way is to share the links for the “event” and “gofundme” to your personal pages through social media. Next possibility is to make meals for Dale and his girls at home and/or Erin in the hospital. Another would be to be a delivery service for the meals, we will make a couple of central drop off spots to make it easier for you to help out in this way. Last but not least, if you are a praying person, please keep little Emerson and her whole family in your prayers. This fund was created on behalf of 5 of Erin’s closest friends, though she has many more! The purpose of this page is to relieve just one stress of their plate in this truly difficult time. Thanks in advance, from Vicki, Robin, Jenn, Jo Ann and Carla
