Hi, my name is Miss Susie and I am Jace's One-On-One Aide at Greenfield Elementary School. I have been Jace's aide since he was 3 years old.  He is now 8 years old and I love him like he was my own grandchild...Jace has Angelman Syndrome, a genetic disorder that affects his speech, balance and walking.  Because Jace has balance issues a tradional walker is not a good fit for Jace. therefore he needs a Rifton Gait Trainer which costs  $3,000.00.  Last week while on a visit to the mobility clinic, Jace was placed in one of these gait trainer's and his mother could not believer her eyes...for the first time in her life, she saw her son take off and explore on his own two feet unaided!  As you can imagine she wept tears of joy because, until that fateful moment, her son had been in a wheelchair his whole life!!!! If we could raise the money for this young boy as soon as possible, this would help him on his way to a small bit of independance that would open up a whole new world for Jace, his family and to me!!!  If you could just see the smile on this child's face when he accomplishes something on his own:  he is so proud of himself.  He wants to be independant! He wants to be like all the other kids!  We Love Jace just the way he is but we want Jace to be the Best Jace that he can be and with the Rifton Gait Trainer, Jace can walk and run all by himself! Words can not express how happy that little boy would be, to be able to play out on the playground at recess time with the other boys!  I would be thankful because well I want jace to be happy, healthy and have strong muscle, which the gait trainer would build.   Thank you in advance for your time and donations!
