Anyone that knows me will tell you that I have a very hard time asking for help so this is the hardest thing I've ever done. But for my 11 year old daughter Laci, I need to swallow my pride and realize I have run out of options and resources to keep my family from becoming homeless. It has been 8 weeks since we were made to leave our home. The image of our landlord and one of our neighbors standing across the street laughing, video recording, and eating popcorn "watching the show" as the landlord called it, as we scrambled to get as much out of the house and onto the sidewalk as possible before time was up....that image will never be forgotten..never. I would not wish it on anyone. Since that day, we have been looking for an apartment or house to rent and living in a hotel. We have been spending over $3,000 a month to keep a roof over our heads (and that's one of the cheapest hotels) This leaves nothing to use for a deposit on any apartment. Anything anyone could spare would be used to put toward a deposit for an apartment for my family and would help us to move on and put this horrible nightmare behind us.
