Rachel’s Road to Recovery

Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be writing something like this, I’m not really one to ask for help but last Wednesday I was involved in a serious car accident with the impact at about 45mph that sent me to the hospital with multiple injuries including a shattered heel bone, deep lacerations in my hand and wrist, painful seatbelt burns, bruises along with an unimaginable amount of emotional distress.

I was released from the hospital in need of aids to eventually help me be able to walk again and home health care to start my 6 month plus journey to recovery.

My car is wrecked, I’m unable to walk, take care of myself, work or cover the growing pile of medical bills right now. Not to mention on top of the crisis at hand we just moved into an apartment with 5 flights of stairs and are still working on getting basic things that we need.

The timing truly couldn’t be worse.
