I’m Shanique...

I have an ambitious ask, and it’s not easy to make but maaaan closed mouths don’t get fed so hear it is..

I’m raising funds to buy a few things specific to my art that I believe will help legitimize myself in a few ways.

1. Prints (equipment) - over this last year I’ve had a number of requests for prints of my work, but the truth is I haven’t gotten them made because I don’t have much disposable income to put towards it! But I would LOVE to sell my work on a more sustainable basis.


2. IPAD & Drawing Pen- I want to crossover to digital art! Digitial art is a more efficient way for me to meet commission requests, solves image clarity/format, and allows me to expand my creativity to the medium of illustrator.. my laptop is also breaking down so it would be good to have for other ventures!

3. Supplies - Drying rack, easel, enough paint or brushes! All things I don’t have.. along with SPACE! This limits the work I’m able to create, but I would LOVE to work on larger canvasses. I’m not at a place yet where it makes sense to get a studio, that’s why I would like to make more efficient use of my apt studio and buy a few items that will allow me to create a tiny work space in my dining area.



Total amount I’m requesting is $4000 all of which would go to my art. So I can make more of it! Every dollar you send would mean so much to me and let’s me know that people out here value the things that I create!

Your support means so much to me and I also want to give back to my community and share my skills! So if I reach my goal of $4000, I will commit to doing 5 black femmes hair in box braids or twists free of charge!
