On August 4th, a deadly explosion ripped through the heart of the port city of Beirut, Lebanon.
Lebanon is a place close our hearts, as an organization.
We have 5 on-the-ground staff working in Lebanon at the moment.
Our only short-term trip this summer just had an amazing time in Lebanon only 3 days ago, ministering to many Lebanese people. 2 days after the team left, the explosion rocked Beirut, where they were working.
This explosion has been massively destructive, on an already sinking economy. The food shortages before the crisis were at a record high, and now 80% of the food storage has been blown away.
In Beirut, there are 3-4,000 people missing. You can imagine the chaos that is causing, without power or cell coverage in those areas.
One of our staff has lost a dear friend in this.
Upwards of 300,000 people are now displaced, in a country with COVID-19 extremely harming their economy.
Our team of 5 has been spending their time investing in helping those who need it most.
Because food is now extremely precious commodity, the food prices will soar even higher than they were before.
We believe God had sent our team to love and encourage those who would be affected by such tragedy.
We're asking for help, as we stand with our brothers and sisters in Lebanon.
Food, emergency supplies, and medical care are necessary for the Lebanese at this time, and all of our funds raised will go to our leading staff, Anthony and Eli.
We are asking initially for $10,000 but expect it might change as the situation does. We will keep this page updated with latest news.
