Hi!

I am reaching out to any and all that I can, with the hope of helping my beloved Aunt, Uncle, Cousin + their adorable doggo too, of course ;).

On 8/29/22, during a big summer storm, the winds were intense and electricity was going out everywhere. They smelled something burning and quickly realized that they had an electrical fire and needed to get out, ASAP. Fortunately, they were all able to get out safely and find a safe place to stay for the night. The smoke from the fire caused extensive damage and they were told they could not return home for some time. They were then moved into a hotel, unfortunately without a kitchen, leaving them the additional financial burden of eating out for all meals. They were doing the best they could to stay positive and adjust.

As they attempted to navigate these changes, the unthinkable happened.

On 9/14/22, My Uncle Kent left the hotel to head to work, as he had done all the days before. He walked to his van, only this time, he could not locate it.

His van had been stolen. Not just any van. His work van.

His entire livelihood, full of everything he has worked so hard for and everything he had accumulated to make him successful in his craft. It was full of decades of supplies, tools, and thousands of hours of hard work. JUST GONE.

This broke them. They had already lost so much.

Fortunately, they did have insurance to support them in some areas. But the truth is, there are so many additional expenses, far beyond what insurance provides. They have since been relocated to a temporary housing option, which has also proven to be a great challenge. With time, they are starting to rebuild.

But they have to start over.

With their home

With his work van.

With all the supplies.

The entire experience has been very overwhelming and just plain devastating.

They are incredibly humble and do not ask for help. So I am here to do it for them because they need us. Because they deserve it. They have had a tough few months and can use all the support we can give.

They need to feel the love and lighten the burden.
