6th Graders take a trip to New York City for the arts
Donation protected
Hi friends, family, and kind strangers with good hearts and good Wi-Fi:
This year, our brilliant bunch of 6th graders has been diving deep into a Reading & Humanities unit on Women in the Arts. Our main text will be professional ballet dancer Misty Copeland's autobiography. Throughout the unit, we will tell the stories of many women in the arts. We will write about their impact. And then… we want to see it come to life.
That’s right—we want to take these young minds to New York City to experience the magic of women in the arts in real time. Broadway shows. Artist talks. Maybe even a Q&A with a real-life performer who looks like them. For many of our students, this would be their first-ever trip to NYC through this lens and their first time seeing live theater.
Your donation will help us fund transportation, food, and Broadway show tickets! Absolutely anything is appreciated! Thank you for contributing to a life-changing moment!
