For the 6th time in as many years, I'm working towards gathering school materials for underprivileged children in at-risk communities. This year’s focus is on supporting families impacted by the recent ICE raids—many of whom are facing serious hardship as they prepare for the school year.

Last year’s backpacks included—binders, loose-leaf paper, notebooks, pencils, pens, colored pencils, coloring books, pencil sharpeners, highlighters, a pencil case, hand sanitizer, and more. This year, we hope to add to that list.

This year I’ll be working with the NAACP, the Wilmore City Community Association, and my alma mater, Zela Davis Elementary School, among other organizations, in hopes of reaching as many students as possible.

With your support over the past five years, we’ve donated over 750 backpacks filled with school equipment to children in inner city communities. Additionally, last year we were able to provide over 1,000 items of school materials to teachers, who often have to come out of pocket to provide materials for their students.
