Hi everyone,

My name is Janell, and along with my friend Deana, we’re trying to help our amazing friend Shannon and her family stay in their home.

Shannon and her husband have had such a tough year. Their little boy, who has severe ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder, needs constant care and support. This has meant many missed days of work and countless hours spent helping him both at home and at school. He’s even had to stay at the Child Psychology Unit at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary, and anyone who’s been through something like that knows how emotionally and financially draining it can be.

Because of the time off work and the ongoing challenges they’ve faced, it’s been really hard for them to catch up. And after the financial hit of COVID, getting back on track has been even more difficult.

If you know Shannon, you know she’s the kind of person who would give everything she has to help someone else. She’s kind, compassionate, and truly a light to everyone around her. Now it’s our turn to show her the same love and support she’s always given to others.
