Support Dan and his family

Hi, I am helping to fundraise for my friends and work family Dan and Heidi Ursino.

Dan has dedicated his professional life to serving others on the worst day of their life in the Emergency Dept at Harborview Medical Center for the last 39(!!!) years! His wife Heidi, is also a Respiratory Therapist at Harborview. They even met working during an emergency at work, and as Dan has been not shy in sharing, it was love at first sight! The number of lives these two have touched over the years is as impossible to quantify as the stars in the sky.

Now Dan is in a fight for his life with Heidi holding watch at his bedside. Dan first started having symptoms this fall and has since gone into liver failure and is in the ICU at University of Washington waiting for a liver transplant to save his life.

Many people have signed up to be tested to be a potential live donor and the family is so appreciative of the outpouring of love for Dan.

Heidi had been hesitant and even resistant to the idea of a GoFundMe to help support them, but this is a way for people who know and love them, have been impacted by them, or are sympathetic to their situation, to be able do something tangible to help.

Please, if you feel so inclined to help, donate. This family is going through such a hard time, especially with the holidays, and this is one way for others to lighten at least one of their burdens.
