Shit, I got shot! If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have none

Boy, I gotta say, "If it weren't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all."
Hi ya'll. It's me again, Troy Turner. First of all, I want to thank everyone who helped out with my fundraiser to date.
I thought I might give you an update about my gunshot...
...I am coming along but I thought the wounds would be totally healed by now and I'd be feeling 100%, boy was I wrong about that.
My wife, Shawna, reminded me the other day that what happened to me was a major trauma to my body and I am not 20 anymore. I still get dizzy and at times I have to lay down. In fact, I need a couple of naps a day or I sure don't feel well the next day.
The damn entry and exit wound still hurts and sometimes burns like someone is holding a lit cigarette on my skin. And don't even get me started on the number all this has done to my brain.
Not that I want to wish even a moment of my life away, but I can hardly wait to be totally healthy and happy again.
In the meantime, I went to have a checkup with my Doctor at the end of last week. She told me she does not want me to return to work too soon. So I have been popping up on a few stages here and there but it's going to be a while before I will be up to my full performing capabilities and able to spend more than an hour at a time singing and playing.
Shawna, Mitch Mitchell, Jim Scott and I took a run over to Valdosta, Georgia last weekend as we had a contract to headline the Valdosta Bluesberry Festival but caught hell getting there.
Right before Pensacola, Florida every light and dial on the dashboard went berzerk. Set us back an hour to find out we needed a new battery. Cha ching!
An hour after getting back on the road the whole van started to shake and the steering wheel was vibrating like it was plugged into the wall on high. Two new tires on the van and now we were two and a half hours behind our planned schedule. Cha ching, cha ching!!
Thanks be to the heavens we had an angel with us, again, two wheels were bulging and could have blown at any second.
So, to make this long story short, almost every penny I collected on my Go Fund Me up to this point was devoured by the van.
And then my Shawna had to haul ass back home due to a medical emergency with one of her children. Flight tickets are 3 to 4 times as expensive when emergencies arise compared to purchasing a month in advance. As well, this was the second emergency ticket she had to buy in three weeks. Cha ching, cha ching, cha ching!!!
So I am leaving this fundraiser up a while longer to try to recoup some of our losses.
Please help us by sharing this with everyone you can think of. I still need assistance.

Last weekend, Easter Sunday, I had been in New Orleans, visiting some of my friends who were playing on Frenchman St.
On my way back to my vehicle I was stopped by a homeless man who asked me for money. His buddy hiding behind a tree was not taking no for an answer.
They took my rent, car insurance, phone bill money and then shot me.
I was lucky. The 9mm bullet entered my groin area just missing the main artery in my leg by one inch.
By some amazing miracle the bullet did not hit any organs and left my body by exiting through my hip.
Boy, does it hurt.
My wife, Shawna, arrived as quick as she could get here.
Now we need help with my emergency bills as well as tickets for Shawna and I to get back to Canada.
Can you help? Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
