This will be our final ask for help!
We have been going through a streak of bad luck over the past month and a half.
6 weeks ago, Levi's car broke down and was unsafe to drive. We couldn't affordthe repairs on it so we sold it. At the same time we sold some our belongings to get back some money and make sure that we could have groceries and pay for gas for the other car. In the last 3 weeks, I've had to replace the alternator on my car, the brakes this last Wednesday, and had my car towed to fix the new brakes on Friday after they siezed up on us tail light went out later that night resulting in a ticket. And just this morning a car accident (pictured above) that we can't afford the deductible on.
I don't know if we're cursed or if it's just random cosmic chaos.
We've borrowed money from friends and family, had checks mailed to us that were lost in the mail, and we have been working very hard to make money; for myself find a new job. We're out of options in California and have a places to go in Portland, Denver, or Syracuse, but due to the accident we can't leave until the car is fixed. We don't want to be homeless and have been downsizing and shedding belongings to make the move as light as possible.
The ask is that we get help to cover the cost of the deductible for the repairs $1000, and have some money ($500) for gas and food after the Go-Fund-Me fees and to pay for the damages to the other car (pictured lower-right). Once we get to a destination we will keep people abreast of our progress.
This is our last hope.
