Micropreemie turned Cancer survivor Baby Jay Fund

UPDATE from Jay’s momma:

This GoFundMe was originally made during Jay’s micropreemie NICU journey home after his birth at 26 weeks gestation, but has also become support during Jay’s cancer journey that shortly followed after being diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma liver cancer at 6 months old in October 2022. He was cancer-free in February 2023 after 4 rounds of chemo and a tumor removal surgery for 8 months, before relapsing in October 2023.

We can’t put into words how much the love and support we’ve received, in any form, from so many amazing people through all the crazy stages in Jay’s 2 years of life has meant to us. THANK YOU just isn’t enough.

Baby boy Jay was born at just 26 weeks to parents Jordyn and Eric. Jay weighed less than a pound at 14.8 oz. Although he is small, he is so mighty and strong. He continues to get stronger as each day goes by❤️

Jordyn and Eric would be the last to allow us to do something like this, but we wanted to try to help reduce their stress while Baby Jay is growing each day.

Jay will be staying in the NICU for an unknown amount of time. The money from this GoFundMe will help them tremendously! For food, trips to and from the NICU, and any missed work in order to be with their little man.

After a traumatic emergency c-section, our son ✨JAY WILLIAM✨ was miraculously born and stabilized at 3:59 am, weighing less than a pound at 14.8 ounces (420 grams) and 10.6 inches long.

He has the longest, unknown filled NICU road ahead of him. For now, he is stable and doing as well as he can with some fairly minor hiccups that micro preemies his size and age commonly face. The main word every nurse uses to describe our Blue Jay is FIESTY, karate chopping hands and knocking off his wires. That’s his fighting spirit already shining through.
