The Lori-Ann Campaign
Dearest Friends,
We created the Lori-Ann Campaign in hopes of raising funds
through your generous donations to help offset the costs required of Lori-Ann's
family to visit and support her through her difficult time, and to endure the
road ahead. Having a loved one in the
hospital under these circumstances is extremely difficult and stressful. However, not being able to visit that loved
one due to the financial burden is unthinkable.
We hope that you can assist Lori-Ann's family through this campaign and
allow them to be near Lori-Ann when she needs them the most.
Lori-Ann has chronically suffered from a rare auto-immune disease, known as Wegener's Granulomatosis, for over a decade. She has repeatedly cycled through the
hospital and undergone multiple treatments and numerous surgeries during the
span of her disease.
Her fiercest battle
began in early January when she lost her beloved boyfriend, Matt, to viral
pneumonia caused by influenza. Lori-Ann was admitted to the
hospital on January 12th, the same day she lost Matt, due to symptoms of double pneumonia initiated by two separate strands of influenza. Most recently, she has
undergone a lung bypass, and is struggling with ongoing respiratory failure. We are hopeful that our prayers will be
answered, and Lori-Ann will be selected for a desperately needed lung
transplant in the very short future.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will enable Lori-Ann's
family to continue their daily visits with her during this time of need. You can expect your donation to assist
Lori-Ann's family in the following areas:
-
$10 per day parking at the Cleveland Clinic
-
Fuel expenses to commute for visits (averages 40
miles one-way)
-
Food for the family during long stays at the
hospital
-
Mitigate loss of income due to absences from
work by family members
-
Aid in paying Lori's medical bills if necessary
-
Anything that could possibly assist Lori in
comfort or recovery
Thank you and God Bless you.
