On January 14th, Ric received some life changing news. Not only did he find out he was diabetic, he immediately found out he was going to lose part of his right leg due to a really bad infection. All of this news was very shocking to all of us and very hard to process. Since the diagnosis, he has been through five surgeries on his right leg and they have found a small infection on his aortic valve. At this time, we are treating all infections with six weeks of antibiotics. We are hoping to transfer to an inpatient rehab soon so Ric can learn how to adapt to his new lifestyle. While we still have lots of unknown things along our journey, we know God is walking beside us. We have had several people ask how they can help and we are so thankful for everyone's support and prayers. We have set up this account for those that have asked what can I do. We will have lots of out of pocket hospital expenses, IV meds, rehab equipment, prosthetics, and much more. Anything you would like to give would be appreciated...no gift is too small.
