Help Monica get back on her feet!

Hi, many of you know me as Monica or "Mo," your local, confident, board-certified RN, who on any given day was spent caring for my family, or someone in our community working as a nurse in our local hospitals. What many of you don't know is that since April 11th, my whole world turned upside down. I went into the hospital for what I thought was going to be a simple admit for pancreatitis. What I didn't know was I was at death's door. The doctor's found three necrotic organs that had to be removed, as necrosis is not compatible with life. Urgent surgery found the need to remove my spleen, half of my pancreas, and the remnants of my stomach after bypass in '04. So I essentially have no stomach anymore. Chronic infections and malnutrition, as well as frequent falls and confusion have taken over since then, though, and to say life is difficult as of late is

a gross understatement.

I was also cleaning houses on the side to help make ends meet. Having a special-needs child is expensive, and my ability to work has come to a complete halt, yet I don't seem to qualify for much aid.

And for those who know me well, know that asking for help is HUGE for me. I don't like it - it takes me out of my comfort zone to do so. I was born to help others in need. This time, however, I am asking for your help. Every dollar would help me to lower my medical debt and help with food scarcity, gas to go to and from appointments during the periods I'm not admitted into the hospital; and help paying for prescriptions, for help lowering these costly medical bills, and trying to get a leg up, not a hand out.

So please, I am asking, even $1 would help a girl who hasn't worked in over a year between new onset seizures and the constant admits for issues with my TPN and trying to live this new life have, living with chronic illness.
