Let’s help Zach

Hi, my name is Kerrie (or auntie Kerrie). I am hoping to help Zach and his family.

Zach is 14 (15 at the end of the month). He is an awesome kid. Last week he had a persistent headache his mum Tanya did take him to their GP who basically told her that there is nothing wrong just change his diet and take these tablets. The GP also said to her that there’s no need for any scans and if he were to give her the form for one it was just to make her happy. This was Friday, by Sunday night Zachs headache took a bad turn and as he stood one of his eyes turned and he ran into the wall. Tanya jumped to stop him but Zach passed out. He stopped breathing he started changing colour and while all this is happening and Tanya trying to call the ambulance her 5 year old daughter is screaming in panic. The ambulance thought Zach had had a stroke and said they need to get him to hospital. Once at hospital Tanya got the dreaded news that no parent wants to hear. He has a brain tumour and it’s blocking the drainage of his spinal fluid. Drs didn’t expect him to last the night. Zach was rushed to the Queensland Childrens Hospital and has since had 2 surgeries with more to come and will start chemo in the coming weeks. The road to recovery is going to be long and hard and I’m just wanting to try and make things just that little less stressful for them. He is going to need special medical equipment as well as lots of treatment and appointments. Please if you are able to help Zach and his mum we would be extremely grateful. Tanya is a single mum that works extremely hard and her kids are her life. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
