Help us Fight this anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit

Hello, my name is Jonathan Hudon and my wife's name is Nneka Ohiri. For years we have been calling out criminals on our channel, Frauditor Troll.

The specific category of criminals that we call out are the bad apples in the 1st amendment auditor community. While at first glance, 1st amendment auditors may appear to have genuine motives. Once you scratch the surface, you realize that 90% are career criminals who found a way to monetize harassment and criminal behavior.

The plaintiff in this case is one of those individuals. According to his own admissions, he has been convicted of drunk driving and assault before starting his "Auditing" endeavors. Since he started his youtube channel 4 years ago, he has been arrested at least 5 times and has even made caselaw against his own movement. The case is called The United States Vs Cordova (CRIMINAL ACTION 23-cr-00453-NYW-1).

For years Mr. Cordova has stated that his goal in life was to have caselaw in his name. After the catastrophic failure of The United States vs Cordova case, Mr.Cordova found another way to try to regain his reputation. He decided to file what we believe is a malicious anti-free speech retaliation lawsuit against my channel.

My wife and I are probably the most vocal critics of Mr.Cordova's criminal behavior and for years we have been creating fair use videos where we react to Mr.Cordova's content. We use original commentary that is recorded with our own voices, memes and editing techniques that transform his videos into brand new content that targets a completely different audience.

Even though this is a copyright case, at its core it has nothing to do with copyright. It is all about silencing critics and anyone who exposes his criminal activity. Mr.Cordova has publicly admitted that he doesn't mind if content creators use a portion or even all of his footage without transforming it, as long as they agree with his message.

Mr.Cordova knows that this lawsuit will cost at least $100.000 USD to fight and he never expected any pushback. In one of his livestreams he said: "He will most likely accept the default because It will cost at least $100,000 to fight this. It will cost him more money to defend this than he has made on his entire channel" this statement was followed by an arrogant laugh.

The intent is clear, to cause us as much financial burden as possible by filing a ridiculous lawsuit and amending it as many times as possible to rack up lawyer fees. The lawsuit has been amended 2 times already and we are just at the beginning stage.

When I got served with this lawsuit, I hired a highly qualified copyright lawyer on an hourly basis, Steve Vondran. In total so far, we have spent around $24,000 defending this case and luckily thanks to my incredible community we were able to raise $20,500 to help with lawyer fees.

We are starting this fundraiser to raise some of the funds required for the rest of the lawsuit. It is estimated that this will cost roughly $130,000 to fight all the way through (which is estimated to be finished in early 2027). The funds raised will exclusively be used to pay our legal fees.

We will be providing monthly updates on how much has been spent and the progress on the motions.

This is a very important fight not just for us but for all content creators on youtube. If we allow malicious anti free-speech lawsuits to go unchallenged it could have a devastating effect on the Youtube ecosystem and could affect thousands of content creators across the world.

Thank you for your support

Jonathan and Nneka
