Luna's Surgery Fund

Last week my friend Dave awoke to find his 4 year old malamute, Luna, was in copious amounts of pain and could not walk. Luna was rushed to the vet where she was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament in her knee and would require immediate surgery that will result in a three month recovery period. 
This could not have come at a worse time for Dave, he has been fighting with his own health issues which have prevented him from making it to work on a daily basis. 
Already struggling to make ends meet, this pricey surgery has pushed him over the edge.
Dave and Luna are regulars at Grandview Dog Park and anyone who knows them knows how much they mean to each other. Luna's recovery will require Dave to take even more time off work, lose even more pay, and he fears without the generosity of other he may need give Luna up. Any pet parent knows how heart wrenching that would be, but for a bachelor like Dave it would mean giving up his best and ultimately ending up alone. 

All funds received will go to pay for Luna's surgery and recovery, and to assist Dave with living expenses during this time.

I have always known Dave to step up when a friend is need, offering any support he can even if it's simply emotional support. I know that both of us (and Luna) will be eternally grateful for any help he receives.
