On June 23rd, my mother and I had what started as a pool day with my kids and ended with a broken leg and a diagnosis of stage 4 lung cancer.

Mom was diagnosed with Large Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma with metastasis to her brain, bones, and adrenal gland. She’s been in the hospital since that day and has completed her first round of chemo, radiation to her brain, and is in the process of radiation to her leg.

Mom has worked so hard to get her strength back with physical therapy and occupational therapy. She’s optimistic, but of course, stressing about finances. Her bills haven’t stopped just because she’s in the hospital. I’m hoping to ease her burden even just a little through this.
