Jim Carlen

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.   Jim was on a trip as a contract pilot to Cancun when he started showing signs of paralysis.  He was flown to Broward County Health in Fort Lauderdale Florida on Friday 18 January 2019 where he was diagnosed with Guillain Barre syndrome.  Karen is there with him as he begins his treatments to fight this thing.

The journey forJim and his family has just begun and from all the stories of others who have contracted this menace, it is along recovery.  There will be substantial rehabilitation which will continue once Jim is home.  To allay the immediate costs and future costs which will probably mean some adaptations to their home I’ve started this donation campaign.  Thanks to all and keep the faith.
