Hi! My name is Anna and I made this fundraiser for my very best friend Elyse and her best friend Dante.

Elyse rescued Dante in 2020. He grew up as a puppy not knowing love, and spent his first years tied up to a stake, hungry, malnurished. Elyse took in Dante and showed him the true unconditional love dogs deserve.

In July 2021 Dante was successfully relocated from abroad back to Colorado and started his new life as a mountain dog.

It's believed that Dante had some BADDDDD water or bacteria from an animals 1s or 2s. He now has Leotospirosis. On Monday August 30th he was brought to the animal hospital due to his kidneys.

The ultrasounds looks good and his kidneys don't appear to be damaged structurally. But while he’s fighting off infection it’s hard to tell how he’s really doing. We have high hopes he should recover but needs more attention, fluids and treatment. Dante needs to spend 2-3 more days in the doggie ICU. He has a long road ahead of him but we're confident that he will make it through.

Dante is a fighter and wants to come home to his mama. I hope to show Elyse the love that she has shown Dante and that her community is here support her.

We are hoping to raise at least 1/2 of his vet bills. The estimate is around $18,000 for care and 100% of funds raised will go directly to Dante’s emergency vetrinary care.
