Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. I appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.
Two Christmases ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. I had bad reactions to all the meds they tried to give me and switched neurologists. The current one is rethinking the Parkinson's diagnosis in favor of a diagnosis of MSA (multiple systems atrophy). I have major balance issues, a severe case of cervical dystonia (which makes eating, sleeping and breathing difficult) and self-care issues. I spend most of my time sitting upright in a plastic lawn chair. (Yes, this also includes sleeping)
I am currently on Medicaid and getting 50 hours of home health aide support but realistically need 24x7 care. I am looking to sell my house, my car and trying to find a safe place to live. While I am still in my townhome one of the many ways I need help is financially because I have completely exhausted my life savings. I especially need help getting groceries and cat food in and paying for private duty home health aides. I have currently accumulated bills from 2 different home health agencies of just over $30,000. Private duty aides are costing me approximately $3,500 per week. Any financial support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Please check my Amazon shopping list and GoFundMe site. I will keep you all updated via Facebook. I am desperately trying to stay out of the nursing home.
Please share this web page with your friends and family and anyone you can think of that might be able to help.
Thank you.
Peace and Blessings
