Diablos Baseball Club Fubdraiser

This is the Diablos baseball club, based in Martinez California. They’re a group of 8 and 9 year olds that love playing baseball and came together to form a team. They are an incredibly close knit group that loves playing ball together. The league they play in is tournament based, and the tournament fees are very high. The cost of entry to this competitive level is prohibitive, so I started this gofundme to see if we can raise the total funds needed for the season to cover tournament fees for the families for which this cost is a hardship. Additionally it would be great to help some of the kids update their gear.

To give a picture of what the costs look like:
-team registration: $312
-bat, cleats, glove, uniform, bat bag: $500-$800 (a bat light enough for an 8 year old to swing costs $200-$375)
-batting cage fees: $10 a week
-Tournament fees: $600-$800 a team, monthly

For a lot of these kids, baseball is the only sport they play all year. It's where they learn teamwork, cooperation, and communication. Unfortunately, the playing field isnt level for all players, but im hoping that this campaign can help to even things out, even just a little bit.

I’m Richie Nakano, a father of one one of the players on the team and will pass on funds raised directly to the teams head coach and treasurer. Ideally $2000 will cover tournament fees, with an additional $500 for batting cages, a team bat, and some new training gear.
