I am setting up this account for my sister. I've never resorted to this but I don't know what else to do at this point. We had to close our family business after 34 years. We have both worked there since the beginning. To make matters worse, Robin had just had surgery to remove what turned out to be a cancerous cyst and tumor. She is still recovering from the surgery and is looking for some kind of remote work but TWC is giving her the runaround with her unemployment. Forget the fact that she held down the same job for 34 years and never applied for unemployment before. As for the cancer, the doctor said it is "high-grade carcinosarcoma" and she did everything in her power to convince Robin to have chemo to ensure the cancer doesn't return. So, here we are... she applied for unemployment a month and a half ago and hasn't seen a dime. She is staying with me and fell behind on her rent because of the job situation and is in danger of losing the house if she can't catch up and pay April's rent by the 31st. Her lease doesn't end until May 31st and they won't let her terminate the lease without penalties. She had to get new insurance after her first treatment and now they say the treatments cost $500 ea. (besides all the hospital bills we haven't been able to pay). She won't be finished with chemo until June. It has been a real struggle. We really appreciate all the love and support we have experienced through this journey. Any donations that come in will go directly to her rent, medical and other expenses.
