Help Norma fight leukemia

In the blink of an eye, anyone can be touched with a sudden illness.

My friend Norma was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Philadelphia chromosome positive. She is now faced with a sudden medical & financial hardship, wondering how she will pay her bills while in the hospital getting treatment. Norma will need money for gas, medical trips, expenses, utilities and more while working toward a full recovery.

Those that know Norma, know how amazing this woman is and what an asset she is to our small community of Ajo. Norma has lived in Ajo for over 35yrs. She currently works as an advocate for Pima County Attorney’s office, supporting victims of crimes, responding with law enforcement for crisis calls. Norma has worked in mental health, being on call 24/7, responding and providing support to individuals going through mental health issues in Ajo & the surrounding areas.

With all these responsibilities, Norma still finds time to volunteer as the director for Ballet Folklorico del Ajo. Providing this free dance program for the past 35 years! Norma makes the outfits using her own design and choreographing her dances. I’m sure you have seen her amazing dancers at our local festivals.

 Norma can be found  helping out around the community, and you can always count on her to lend a shoulder to cry on, listen without judgement, and be here for anyone that needs her help.

I started this GoFundMe to help ease the financial stress on Norma so she can focus on healing, not worrying about how she will pay her bills while unable to work. This lady is always giving to us, this time she could use our help. Any little bit helps, even sharing this page if you are unable to help at this time.
