Please help Thor! We went to the ER at 2am. He has been admitted to the emergency veterinary hospital with GI stasis which is very serious. The estimate they’ve given me is $920-$1750 and I had to pay the $920 just to admit him. I’ve never asked for help before, but I’ve just lost Rex and Rolo in the last 3 weeks and their bills combined were $1100. I just don’t have another $1700 right now. But Thor deserves the best medical treatment possible. He’s such a sweet and silly bunny with the best attitude and personality.
Officially “Sir Thor Fuzzypants of Highgarden, Lord of Lettuce, God of Thumper”, poor Thor was living in a tiny outdoor hutch and being attacked by a larger rabbit for the first 2 years of his life. I rescued him a year and a half ago from the shelter. He’s now 3 1/2 years old and has come so far in learning to trust and feel safe. I want him to have the longest and best life possible. Unfortunately, stasis is common in both rabbits and guinea pigs (I’ve lost 2 guinea pigs to it) but I hope I caught Thor’s early enough that he can get better with medication and supportive care. I love him so much and he helps me get through tough days. I don’t think I can handle losing him too after the few weeks I’ve just had.
Please contribute if you can. I need help and deeply appreciate anything you can offer to help Thor. My animals are my world, and I just want them to have happy, healthy lives. I’m so scared and praying he pulls through and gets better soon!
