Hi my name is Denise and I am raising funds so my friend Mark can have a new wheelchair.

Mark has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a muscle wasting condition.

Without a wheelchair he can not do simple things that we take for granted such as move to a different room in the house or even leave the house, he would not be able to go to the Neuromuscular centre where he receives physiotherapy and attend other regular medical appointments.

Wheelchairs are not so cheap though and Mark needs a chair that supports his body throughout the day, keeping him comfortable and secure. A wheelchair that enables him to carry his ventilator and access the wider world safely.

Marks new chair will cost in the region of £18,000! Crazy isn't it.

Just the joystick alone is around £2,500.
