Belfast Marathon 2025
Donation protected
On May 4th, I will be taking part in my first Marathon , in Belfast.
I will be raising money for 2 amazing charities,in memory of my son Lennie and my sister in law Leah. I will be splitting the money 50/50 between Elsie’s Moon and Wirral hospice (St Johns).
In 2021 myself and Kate sadly lost our son Lennie at 39 weeks. During this very difficult time we were supported by many amazing charities and organisations, one of which was Elsie’s moon. They are a small local charity which supports parents who have gone through the unthinkable loss of a baby. They fund one to one counselling support sessions for families across the Wirral and local area, offer wellbeing classes and support packs, and work alongside other charities in supporting Bereavement Training, providing memory items, funding safe spaces... and so much more!
What they provide really is invaluable, and we will be forever grateful to them.
In 2023 my sister in law Leah was tragically given a cancer diagnosis.Leah fought so so hard, but unfortunately the cancer didn’t respond to any treatments and spread aggressively ,quickly. Leah spent her last few weeks in the hospice supported by the amazing staff. It was at the hospice that Leah and my brother Owen were able to get married in a very special ceremony. The support and help the staff provide to the people there ,really is special ,ensuring they are comfortable during the their final days.
Any money will make a massive difference, ensuring these 2 amazing charities can carry on providing help and support to those who may be unfortunate enough to need them.
Thank you
