6th Annual Collection for Teens in Foster Care
Each year, we collect funds to purchase gift cards and experiences for tweens and teens in foster care, and the foster families.
This age group is often overlooked, as they have outgrown toys, but are still so deserving of a gift to open on Christmas morning.
100% of funds raised are sent to Family Services of the Merrimack Valley who purchases all of the gift cards/tickets/experiences, etc based on individual needs and wishes.
One of the most impactful things about raising funds and gift cards for local kids in foster care is hearing the things they ask for. Likely their only opportunity for a gift. Here are some of the things donations from this year have paid for so far…
A sibling group of a 6 year old girl, 8 year old boy, and 12 year old boy asked for haircuts and to take a picture with Santa to send to their mother.
3 Passes to Launch Trampoline Park Passes for three siblings in two different foster homes (there was not a home that could take them together). They are going to meet at Launch before Christmas to spend some time together.
A sibling group of 4 (2 kids are at one home and 2 kids are at another) to get together over Christmas break to go bowling.
2 Canobie Lake park passes for 15 and 17 yr old brothers.
2 gift cards for manicures or pedicures for two sisters (14, and 16) who asked to have their nails done.
A 16-year-old who is having her birthday around Christmas and also asked to get her nails done.
Cologne for teen boys' stockings.
Target/ Walmart stocking stuffers- razors, face creams, body lotions, hair products, Roblox gift cards and candy.
Tickets for a foster family of 4 to attend Zoo Lights
We appreciate all of those who have contributed so far, the impact is already so tangible.
Thank you in advance for your consideration of this very worthy cause.
