Jim Herron Kidney Transplant 2019

My son Jim has an auto immune disease of his kidneys which has progressed to the point where he must have a kidney transplant. As a mother it is my desire to fund raise for him so that he can fully recuperate without worries of his business and lost income. He can no longer travel overseas to import antiques which is 80% of his business. This past year he de compensated and required hemodialysis and chose to perform peritoneal dialysis 4 times a day.. 7 days a week. He has never stopped working and has been very self sufficient in his care which required multiple surgeries for catheters and a benign tumor removed from his parathyroid. Jim was referred to university of Florida Shands hospital and the transplant will take place on April 10 2019.Both his sisters Jackie, Jennifer and myself were more than willing to donate our kidney to Jim. Last week Jackie his younger sister was chosen to be a live donor.The monies donated will be 100% spent on all costs related to the transplant including but not limited to insurance deductibles and premiums, medications, travel, lodging post transplant,, doctors, loss of income for both he and his donor Jackie. It is difficult to ask but these are 2 special children and your help and kindness in this life transforming event will forever be appreciated.
