Our friend and coworker is in need of our help at this time. Her father, Manuel, passed away today, Mother’s Day of all days. She has had to miss work for over a week to be with her family while he was critically ill. If you don’t know, she is a single mom. She is a nurse that works as a weekender. It is considered a part time job and there is no PTO. When she misses work, she doesn’t get paid. Her elderly mother still works at FedEx and has also had to miss work since he was hospitalized on April 28. She doesn’t have any PTO left as she has had to take off to be at Manuel’s bedside. They need our help. The money raised will help cover funeral expenses and and the financial burden of missing work for both Rebecca and her mother during this trying time.
