Loki Medical Expenses

Hello! First off, I want to thank you for even reading this. Although it is highly uncomfortable asking for help, I am pretty overwhelmed with vet expenses for my sweet cat, Loki. My name is Callista (or Callie) and I am a full-time doctoral student. This unfortunately leaves little room for making money, though I do work a couple of part-time positions. I am doing my best to make ends meet while keeping up with vet bills, but these past few months have involved countless expensive diagnostic tests to understand what's going on with my cat. What started with skin problems soon turned into weight loss, gastrointestinal disturbances, and now concerningly low white blood cell counts - leaving him highly immunocompromised and with unknown cause. I have had Loki for over 10 years now, adopting him as just a 5-month-old kitten, and he really is everything to me. Our vet bill today will be anywhere from $5000 to $7000+, and I have already invested several thousand in his vet care over the past half-year (after adjusting for insurance coverage).
