Allie’s Army

Donation protected

Hi friends.

I wanted to share the most recent update that we have with Allie.

As you may know already, she has officially RELAPSED; her leukemia is back.

Her bone marrow biopsy showed that her blasts (this is how they measure the amount of cancer in your body) are at 35%; a normal range is between 1-5%.

Last time, she had a bad genetic mutation that made everything that much harder to battle. We are waiting for the complete biopsy results to see if this bad gene has come back. At that point, we will find out the plan of attack. It would affect Allie’s treatment plan, possibly starting with a clinical trial…if she can get in.

The ultimate goal will, again, be to get her into remission so a second stem cell transplant can be done.

A few weeks ago, Allie was finally able to accept a job. A job at “Ann's Place”, a cancer support center that gives back to those who have helped her and to those going through what she went through.

She now has to resign.

⇨ ⇨ This is where we all come in ⇦ ⇦

We were there two years ago to raise money for her and her family, and we are doing it again. She is a selfless, wonderful human being that deserves to breathe a little bit easier.

Anything that you can donate will be going to support her family, as this is going to be a trying time for them financially.

Just like last, I will update everybody with information as we start this next battle.

The wonderful thing is that she has literally an ARMY behind her. Between all of you, and all of the doctors who are armed and ready, she will beat this.

She will beat this again.

Below is when it started…

Feeling very lethargic and not quite herself, Allie made an appointment to see her primary care doctor. He ordered bloodwork, and rushed her to the nearest ER.

It was the morning of April 30th that Allie received the dreaded call that she had leukemia, specifically Acute Myeloid Leukemia with some very aggressive genetic components.

Her life changed in an instant.

She is currently getting her treatment as an in-patient at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for an uncertain amount of time. She will be facing an intense regimen at a nearby housing facility linked with MSKCC for months to follow. She is also in need of a bone marrow transplant, which will add on even more time away from her family.  If she’s lucky, Allie will return home by January 2020.

She’s dealing with her diagnosis with an incredible amount of poise and courage while being the most unbelievable mother and wife.

With the help of her “army” she is ready to take on this battle.

Allie is a one of the most selfless people I know; I have been friends with her for over 28 years. She has two young children, a loving husband, and countless of friends that adore her. She has devoted her life to raise money for people in need, and has never asked anyone for anything.

She is about to face a very long, and difficult fight and will need all the support we can give her and her family.

Along with no paycheck, regular bills coupled with the unknown amounts of medical bills,  and the lost time with her two girls, this is where we come in. It’s now our turn to help her.

Please help by donating.

Any amount will be so appreciated
