My Cancer Journey

Our best friend Julia is a 21 year old senior at UW-Stout studying Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management. Many of you may know Julia from school, work, or just in the community from her contagious personality and fun-loving spirit. She has always been passionate about caring for others, however, now she needs your help! Because of this, I know that we would all agree- for this to happen to her is incredibly unfair. 

After months of having continuous shoulder pain and weeks of medical tests, biopsy's, and scans, Julia was recently diagnosed with b-cell Lymphoma (bone lymphoma). She has started the 10-week pediatric oncology treatment plan with hopes that everything goes as planned.  Her treatments include rounds of chemo, spinal tap procedures, and scans along the way to evaluate the progress of her treatment plan. The journey to recovery won't be easy, but despite the stress, Julia continues to hold her head high and show her unrelenting strength and positivity.  Between traveling, medical expenses, and lodging, her bills are starting to add up quickly.
