Hello my name is Kaitlin Nelson. As some of you may or may not know my dad was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer about a year ago. His health has deteriorated quite a bit over the last year. He's been in and out of the hospital numerous times for infections among other things but had continued treatment up until a week and a half ago and he's no longer strong enough for treatment so he's been put on hospice. Each trip to the hospital has left him more and more weak  He just got discharged from the hospital yesterday after a 3 day stay. He is now so weak he is unable to do anything for himself. Before my dad got sick we were a very low income household and since he's been sick we are managing but it's very difficult. Due to his condition he's constantly very cold and we have been having to run the heater around the clock which has left us with a very high electric bill. With my dad in his condition I will be having to miss work to care for him until we are able to get a caregiver, which some of you may or may not know is a process. I will know more once I speak to the social worker who will be by today. Any money raised will go to the electric bill and supporting our household during this time. Thank you.
