Spanish (aka the Spanish Inquisition) is one of Navean's beautiful cats. He's a dapper, handsome fellow with a sneaky tricky side. Most of you know Spanish by now: he's the cute little man who was the subject of our previous fundraising effort.
This fundraiser is for the express purpose of helping Navean defray the costs of another unfortunate health turn for Spanish.
Spanish was facing another urinary blockage this past week, but given that he's been on a careful diet that should prevent his blockages, this is more worrying. Navean took him to the emergency vet, and thankfully for the moment Spanish is stable, but they're still waiting on results from a bevy of tests to see if this issue is something more serious.
In the meantime, there's the matter of a sizable pile of vet bills. Because of sudden nature of his last blockage issue and it happening late at night, there were overnight stays necessary. One can imagine how stressful its been for Navean and their family.
Navean is a pillar of the Blood on the Clocktower community and has given so much of their time and effort for our entertainment and education. They are in need of some help. As their mandated Clocktower sibling here in Connecticut BOTC, it is my proud duty to once again organize this effort on their behalf.
All funds from this fundraiser will go directly to Navean with the express intent of paying a sizeable vet bill. Any additionally raised funds will go to Navean directly as well. As you know from our previous fundraiser, Spanish is on a medically-prescribed diet from here on out, and I can attest from personal experience that this is not an easy pill to swallow.
