The word Menna means new light, new hope, and unexpected food. Menna elderly center is a non-profitable organization Founded in 2014, by university students dedicated to serving Gondar's poor and vulnerable mentally and Elderly. Through our Faith in God and our Love for the people, we can build hope and bring meaningful life back to the elderly. We started Mena in Gondar to bring hope to the elderly at least in Gondar. Through housing, food programs, and medical care, we can make a difference in their lives. Our goals are to Build, Love and Restore the elderly in Gondar.Menna elderly center targets the destitute homeless men and women of Gondar over the age of 65 and many of these elderly persons have health disabilities which cause to be incapable of maintaining a productive lifestyle. We provide food and housing to meet the essential needs of this group and allow them to live a dignified and meaningful life. These elderly are often on the verge of becoming homeless because they do not have an independent source of income.
