Stand with Brian in His Cancer Battle

We have received the devastating news from Brian's Dr's that his organs are failing and there is nothing they can do for Brian other than make him comfortable.

On July 10th our family received news no family wants to receive, Brian has stage 4 Metastatic Adenocarcinoma. Meaning, he has advanced colon cancer that has spread to his lymph nodes, liver and both lungs. On July 16th he received news that his kidneys and liver have started to shut down. This was a set back, but we are pushing forward. Brian still hopes to start a half/low dose chemotherapy treatment on July 21st. In this time his Dr. is hoping Brian will be stronger and have a better chance to tolerate the chemotherapy. Brian's plan is to fight this every step of the way and with everything he has. We know this is an up hill battle, but we are ready. Brian is keeping a positive attitude, his sense of humor, and his spirits up during this difficult time. He is asking the same from all of us. He doesn't want this cancer to define him, he is more than cancer. He is a son, a husband, a father, a brother and a friend to so many.

Brian will be traveling between Pikeville, TN and Chattanooga, TN for all of these appointments and treatments which is quickly becoming a huge financial burden for our family. Brian has had to stop working and I have taken a leave of absence at this time. We are asking for any help possible during this very difficult journey.

We are going to use this money to help relieve some of the financial burden this has brought us. This will allow us to cover medical expenses, travel for appointments, and any other unexpected expenses we will encounter.

Brian is a very proud man and asking for help isn't coming easy for him. If you can't help financially maybe you will be willing to share his story, say a prayer, share a story you have of Brian or send a positive thought.
